I have been with the salon for over 25 years. I enjoy working in all aspects of hairdressing and have gained a high level of experience through education and courses over the years. I enjoy classic and creative cutting and colouring and also talking and listening to my clients wants and needs.
I started way back as a sat/sun girl in 1992 before becoming full time a couple of years later. I'm one of our senior stylists that has loved learning all different aspects of cutting through courses and even watching our younger very talented staff through the years. I work very closely with Mhari and Fee to fulfil our client's needs. I am also on hand for any home haircare advice so my clients can have salon hair at home. I love working with our team, we are just one big dysfunctional family!!
I started at Alan edwards as an apprentice in 2010 , qualifying in just over 2 years and completed my L’Oréal colour specialist degree 2013 . I enjoy all aspects of my job , I love seeing my client from start to finish, listening to my clients requests & concerns during consultation and creating a beautiful cut ,colour & style, having a good chatter along the way. I enjoy doing my clients hair for weddings & occasions and getting creative and creating looks for photoshoots. I have been very lucky during my 10 years at Alan’s I have had some amazing opportunities from doing London fashion week , being apart of the L’Oréal ID team , doing hair shows, competitions ,photo shoots, teaching around the country and I also Won L’Oréal young colourist for Scotland which has definitely been a highlight! In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors, horse riding , hillwalking and going back home to the isle of arran to see family and friends.
I have been a member of the Alan Edwards team since 2011, during my time working with Alan I have gained an intuitive ability to tailor make styles to suit every individual. Also by completing and graduating the 15 week long colour specialist degree equips me with the knowledge and techniques to enhance and improve your hair and they way your hair should make you feel.
We’re proud to say that Hannah is homegrown Alan Edwards, having trained with us since day one developing her passion and talent for hairdressing. Making clients feel good and love their hair is most important to Hannah. In 2017 she completed her Loreal Colour specialist degree where she gained a greater knowledge in the science and technology of hair colouring. She now Specialises in all aspects of colouring- Bright, bleached, natural or subtle. Over the years Hannah has travelled around the UK and Europe working with Loreal Professional as a member of the ID team, backstage at London Fashion week, seminars and education with Alan, photographic work for magazines and been a Scottish finalist twice at the Loreal colour trophy. When it comes to haircuts she specialises in a cool, current, done but undone look on the latest ‘it’ cut.
I have been with the company for the past 18 years. I am involved with the Art Team and one of my passion is the artistic side of hair, it gives us a chance to get creative and try some more challenging styles . We work along side L’Oréal and I have been lucky enough to work with them at London/Seoul fashion week, support for magazine work and hair for the L’Oréal colour trophy shows in Uk and Ireland. I was part of the Alan Edwards team that won the prestigious L’Oréal colour in its 50th year. I have also travelled with Alan Teaching for L’Oréal and taking part in hair shows in many different countries, the visit to South Korea being the most memorable. I love passing my knowledge onto the young team in the salon, they are great fun and are amazing young hairdressers, so I had better watch out. We have a fun, close team. I love being involved in everything I can.
