The key behind a fantastic hairdresser is their commitment to continual education and training. Our objective at Alan Edwards educational studios is to share our passion of being the best we can be.

We guide each delegate to gain confidence and inspire them on their journey to being technically gifted and creative hairdressers.
Each educational session has been designed to be personal, informal and interactive which will give each delegate a greater understanding about their approach to cutting, colouring, styling and dressing hair, through a series of fundamental, intermediate or advanced workshops. Delegates will leave with tools and techniques to re-create new looks for their existing and potentially new clients.

The amazing response and feedback from our educational sessions over the last few years has inspired us to develop our approach to education, however still sharing our core philosophies in cutting and colouring. Which benefits each delegate so that they walk away with added skills to their portfolio if knowledge. Each educational class will demonstrate not only fundamental techniques and patterns but will show you how to integrate these patterns and techniques to give a new fresh contemporary approach to your hairdressing.

Foundational cutting one day workshop

Focuses on three of our foundational cutting techniques short and long layering, bob and round graduation. Building confidence, control and understanding of these core techniques, allowing students to progress to a intermediate level, all you need is enthusiasm to learn.

Suitability – All assistant hairdressers beginning their cutting training

Intermediate cut and colouring one day workshop

Focuses on our cutting and colouring philosophies by integrating foundational cut and colour techniques to create confidence and skill. This salon based course will help you refine and refresh your approach to designing and creating new looks for you existing as well as prospective clients.

Suitability – Any stylists wishing to enhance and refresh their salon work

Advanced cutting and colouring two day workshop

To stay a successful and fulfilled hairdresser we constantly need to explore and create new ideas and techniques. This course has been designed to highly motivate you, illustrating new shapes, textures and colour techniques, though a series of interactive workshops and demonstration. This will help assisting you on continual experimentation pushing the boundaries of your hairdressing skills.

Suitability – Any stylists with more than four years of experience as qualified hairdresser

Format: – Morning demonstration / afternoon workshop

Mastery Educators Programme

Inspire to educate

Education and communication is the key factor to the growth of your team, yourself and our industry. Having the ability to share our knowledge and skills with ease, creates and produces maximum benefit for everyone involved.

This program has been designed continually help you develop and evolve your educational skills, bringing out the best in you so you can bring out the best in others. Each interactive session will give you a greater understanding about your approach to education and demonstrating with tools and techniques which will assist you in preparing, designing and delivery of future in-house educational sessions, seminars, shows and fashion events.

Suitability – For any hairdresser, educator or college lecturer who has a passion about education and discovering a new, fresh approach and style of sharing information.

Format:
Meet at 9am, Start at 9.30 sharp!
Day 1 consists of 6 interactive sessions, each lasting approx 45mins/1hour with short breaks in-between:
Inner you, mind cleansing, 6 Needs in Education, AVK, Visualisation and Fail to Prepare – Prepare to Fail.

Day 2 will focus on a master class of cutting and colouring, with a presentation incorporating skills and knowledge gained throughout the two days. Also a light-hearted present back session which could make us all multi millionaires!

Last but not least: Feedback, after every session.
Finish approx 5.30/ 5.45pm each day.
